    COL-CEMCA was formally invited to contribute its knowledge and experience to the capacity-building programme titled “The Role of Law Librarians in the Era of AI” for the Officers and Officials of the Judges’ Library of the Supreme Court of India, on 7 August 2026.

  3. Commonwealth of Learning’s Kenya Student Community Makes Collective Submission on Draft National AI Policy

    On 11 August 2026, the Cohort submitted a memorandum to the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy, presenting student recommendations and suggestions on the Draft Kenya Artificial Intelligence and Other Emerging Technologies Policy. The submission was collectively endorsed by more than 22 student members from diverse disciplinary backgrounds and tertiary institutions across Kenya.

  4. COL-CEMCA Launches Four National Cohorts of the Commonwealth Student Community for AI Governance in Asia

    The Commonwealth of Learning – Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (COL-CEMCA) launched the Malaysia, Maldives, Bangladesh, and Singapore National Cohorts of the Commonwealth Student Community for AI Governance through a virtual Asia Regional Cohort Launch meet-up held on 17 August 2026.

  5. From Shared Challenges to Collective Solutions: Shaping a Community of Practice for Skill Educators in India

    On 13 August 2026, the Commonwealth of Learning-Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (COL-CEMCA), in collaboration with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), convened a one-day consultative workshop on “Strengthening Skill Education through Community of Practice (CoP) in India” at CBSE Headquarters, New Delhi.
