Lean Six Sigma Foundation Course offered for Students and Job Aspirants

Lean Six Sigma (LSS) is a process improvement methodology recognized worldwide in organizations both large and small, across all areas of business. Six Sigma certification is one of the most valued certifications in the Manufacturing/Improvement Industry. The online job placement site Indeed (2014) quotes an employer’s survey which shows a 5-8% salary premium for Lean Six Sigma practitioners. Many companies pay a salary premium for new hires with Lean Six Sigma training. LSS paid certification costs between $80-$200 based on the training and certification agency.

Understanding the value and need for this certification in improving the employability of job aspirants across sectors the Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA) developed a 12-hour online micro-credential certification course with help of the six-sigma black belt industry experts.

This course was offered in association with Amity University, Haryana from 3rd February to 31st March 2022 on Amity University’s LMS. 1419(Male-740, Female-679) participants enrolled from 8 countries in this program. These participants were students and alumni of various campuses of Amity University. 204 participants completed this course and have been certified.
