Export:
On Clicking the Export option from the Main Menu, specify the filename of the file to be exported. This creates a copy of the specified database in the Microsoft Access format.
If you want to export the selected record, select the report option from Main Menu and specify the target filename, data will be exported in to specified filename.
Import:
On clicking the Import option from the Main Menu, type the user name as ADMIN and user password, you will see the fields of Media Library in the left hand side and there are three buttons at the bottom.
Specify the file to be imported. The file should be in one of following format.
In case the file is a MS-ACCESS Database , opening the file lists out all the tables in the database. Select the table to be imported . On selecting the table , the fields in the table are listed .
If import file is Foxpro DBF File type, after opening the DBF you will see all the fields of the DBF file. Specify the matching fields according to Media Library fields.
If import file is MS Excel type, after opening the XLS file select the sheets Name of the database by clicking the list of Sheets. After clicking the sheet, all the fields list will be activate, then specify the matching fields according to Media Library fields. In this case Library Accession No, Technical Format, Tape Type, and Title of the program should match.
In the lefthand side grid fields from media library database are listed out. To start the processing of import option it is essential to match the fields from the table to be imported with that of the media library database.
Fields for which data is compulsory are :
After matching the fields , click the APPEND DATA button to finally import the data into the media library database.
CHECK DATA
Before appending the data to the media library database an internal check is carried
out by the MEDLIB product to ensure data integrity and
validity.
The checks are carried out and results reported.
It is required that PRODUCTION YEAR field should have data in date format.
The values of VTRTO and VTRFROM should be string type and strictly in HH:MM:SS:FF format where
HH stands for HOURS (the value should not exceed
59)
MM stands for MINUTES (the value should
not exceed 59)
SS stands for SECONDS (the value should
not exceed 59)
FF stands for FRAMES (the value should not
exceed 25)
Multiple values in all technicians should be seperated by
commas ( , ) and should not exceed 6 or 7 in number.
The clip file names should also be seperated by commas(,) in
case one record is having multiple clip files and the file names should include directory path.
REFRESH DATA
To start a new import click the refresh button.
