SEARCH :

This allows the user to search whether the media library stock has the programme or shot of his interest . The user is required to specify the value on which the search criteria is to be based on and accordingly the search is carried out on the programmes , shots or inventory database . The search result is presented to the user in the form of a list . The user can go to a detailed level report on selecting the result of interest .

Search is allowed on

  1. Programmes
  2. Shots
  3. Inventory
  4. Keywords

Search results/Browse records

Procedural Steps to be followed for searching on programmes , shots and inventory:

  1. Select a field on which you want to search from the top left-hand side list. On selecting the field, values for the field gets filled in the bottom right hand side list.
  2. Select a value for the field specified in Step1 from the bottom right hand side list.
  3. Select the criteria for the specified field (i.e. equal to or not equal to).
  4. Use the button

    5. to transfer the contents to build the search string.

    The selected value is transferred into the bottom left hand side list box and search string is updated, which is displayed on the top right hand side list box.

    For removing a selected field from the search string use button.

  5. Before selecting the next field, select the logical operators (And, Or).
  6. Repeat steps 1-4 for all the fields, which you want to include in your search string.
  7. Click on the SEARCH button.
  8. Click on the row for obtaining a detailed report on the record.
  9. Click on NEW SEARCH Button for a fresh search.
  10. Use OUTPUT FIELDS BUTTON to change the fields that whose values will be listed in the search result.

This displays a list of values depending on whether the search is carried out on Programmes , Shots   /Inventory. The user is required to select the field of interest.The values of these fields  will be displayed in the search results until NEW FIELDS are selected or a new search is activated  through NEW SEARCH button.

Procedural steps to search on keywords
  1. Select the keywords from the bottom right-side list.
  2. Use the button to transfer the contents to build the search string.

    3. The selected value is transferred into the bottom left hand side list box and search string is updated, which is displayed on the top right hand side list box.

    For removing a selected field from the search string use button.

  3. Before selecting the next value, select the logical operators (And / Or).
  4. Repeat steps 1-3 for all the values, which you want to include in your search string.
  5. Click on the SEARCH button.
  6. Result of the search is displayed on the top right hand side. You can then select the Programme or Shot Browser button for obtaining the detailed report on the record.
  7. Click on NEW SEARCH Button for a fresh search.
