Programme input module is for entering all the details of a programme.This majorly covers
For the convenience of the user detailed information of the programme is categorised under five options namely General,Technical,Producer,Availability,Shots & Clips
Five buttons namely General , Technical , Producer , Availability , Shots , Clips bring the respective frames in front to enable the operator to enter information regarding the programme.

GENERAL :
Fields involved :
| Library Accession No | Enter the library accession no of the item by which the item is identified uniquely in the library |
| Cupboard , Shelf | For specifying location of the item in the library |
| Programme Category | Entry in this field helps in categorising the programme as audio , video , slide transparency etc. |
| Production No | Specify production no of the programme if Applicable |
| Month | Month of production of the programme |
| Year | Year of production of the programme |
| Series | If the programme produced comes under any series of programmes then specify the series. |
| Episode No. | Episode no of the programme. Here either the total no. of episodes can be specified in case all are contained in one media or the range of episodes covered in that media can be specified. In case different episodes are contained in different media then a separate entry can be made for each episode using the copy rec feature of the product. |
| Duration | Duration of the programme |
| Subject | Specify the subject covered by the programme. |
| Course | If the programme is produced for some particular type of course , then specify the course. |
| Unit - Block | Unit - Block covered by the programme of the Course. |
| Course Code | Code identifying the course. |
| Title | Programme title. |
| Subtitle | Programme Subtitle. |
| Language | Language used in the programme. |
| Country | Country which is producing the programme |
| Audience Primary | Specify the audience targetted primarily. |
| Audience Secondary: | Secondary audience targetted. |
| Tape Status | This is to specify the status of the media containing the master copy of the program. Whether media is in active condition or is rejected. |
| Issue Rights | Whether the master copy can be issued to any person or cannot be issued |
NOTE : Whenever a new master tape information is entered the tape status is set to active value by default.
If information is being entered for an existing master tape then the fields like library location and tape status are disabled and the information is picked up from the existing data.
| Color | In case of video programme whether the programme developed is in color print or Black&White print. |
| Starting Reading | Starting reading of the program in the media |
| Ending Reading | Ending reading of the program in the media |
| Tape Type | Type of the media containing the program.In case of Video program the tape type can be Betacam,VHS etc.In case of audio programme it can be specification of the cassette. |
| Technical Format | Format of recording the programme on to the media. In case of video this varies as NTSC,SECAM etc |
| Technical Quality Desc. | Technical quality of the program |
| Programme Format | Specify whether the program is documentary type or a interview or a classical dance program etc. |
| Programme Nature | Whether the program is curriculum based or Enrichment. |
| Recording : | Whether the recording of the program is carried out in studio or outdoor. |
| Audio Channels | Which type of audio channels are being used , Mixed or unmixed. Provision is being made for 4 audio channels. |
If information is being entered for an existing master tape then the fields like tape type and technical format are disabled and the information is picked up from the existing entry.

| Source organisation | Organisation providing the inputs for the programme. |
| Technician Names | This also covers information regarding all the technicians used in the programme production like Producer/Director , Technical Director , Narrator , Camera Person's , Video recordist's etc. |
The information is split into two frames which can be navigated using the arrow buttons provided in the lower right side of the form.
AVAILABILITY :
| Copyrights | Organisation having the copyrights for the program |
| Telecast rights | Organisation having the telecast rights for the program |
| Distributor | Organisation acting as distributor |
| Contact Person | The person to be contacted in case any requirement is generated for the program. |
| Cost | Cost involved in purchasing the program or for telecasting it or viewing it. |
| Availability | Whether it is available or not. |
| Remarks Overall | Overall remarks about the program. |
This frame also facilititates to store information about telecast dates of the programme.
ADD:
To make an entry for the telecast date , just click the ADD button and a small frame is pops-up in which entry for the telecast date and telecasting channel can be provided . On clicking save this entry is listed out in the availability frame.
MODIFY:
To make any changes in the entry, click the modify button
DELETE:
To remove the entry click the delete button .
NOTE : Telecast date to be entered should be in "mm/dd/yyyy" format i.e for 10th Oct 1999 the entry will be 10/9/1999
| This frame covers the information regarding the shots used
in case of the video program.
In case the program uses any of the stock shots or file shots which are having entries in the library then the shots can be directly selected and a reference of the program is attached to the shot. For selecting the shot , click the select shots button , which lists out all the shots which are having entries in the media library database . To specify which shot is being used in the programme in question just select the corresponding check box and return back to the programmes frame by clicking on the BACK button .Important information about the shot like shot-title,subject and shot-location is listed out in the programmes frame. Like wise in case any shot used in the program is of importance then the entry for the shot can be made by clicking on the Enter shots button which takes the operator to the shot-entry form through entry for the shot can be made and on saving the information control is returned back to the programme frame with the entered information of the shot listed out in the frame. If any wrong shot reference has been made the particular shot can be removed by selecting the shot from the list and clicking the remove shot button. This removes the reference of the program from the shot.

Synopsis
Programme summary A gist of the programme can be entered into the text area
Keywords
Certain important words which in particular describe the Program can be specified . This helps to list out the program in case the user is searching for a program in that particular area .These words should relate to the program in some way or the other.
To add keywords to the programme , either select them from the help list which gets loaded once you select the keywords control or make a fresh entry through the text-box provided above the help list.
CLIP FILES
System files showing the clips of the programme. These can be audio files , picture files or comp-
SELECT FILES :
On clicking this button you can browse through the directory structure to select the file giving glimpse of the program . Once the file is selected , entry is listed out in the programmes frame .This file is copied with the mapped name into the clips sub-directory under the directory where the product is installed. The name of the file depends upon an internal number generated for the program by the computer . This number in association with the file number is used as the target name for copying the file.
REMOVE FILES :
To remove any clip files associated with the program just
select the file row and click the remove files button.The mapped file is deleted from the
system and reference is removed.
